The FD-300 terminal uses the latest in touch screen technology to process credit cards, PIN and signature debit cards, electronic benefits transfer (EBT) cards, and gift cards. When set up to accommodate multi-merchant processing, each account is selected by name at the beginning of the transaction. The system will sort and keep track of all sales for up to 99 separate business entities. It also includes a built-in training demo to help ensure that all employees have the proper instruction for using the terminal.

Several security protection tools are programmed into the FD-300 to protect customer identity and reduce fraud. Receipts are printed with only the last four digits of the card showing for identification. A Wi-Fi mode may be available, but not all routers support the security requirements.
